QUALIFICATIONS

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Industrial or Metallurgy
• BTech or BSC or Beng Degree in Civil Engineering/ Industrial or Metallurgy advantageous

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Three years’ experience working in a tailing’s and remining management environment
• Ideally two years’ production supervision capacity

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Solid knowledge of mining, production and tailings industry
• Knowledge of national legislation, standards and bylaws applicable to tailings environment
• Technical and operational skills
• Solid knowledge of methods and practices of deposition / remining / water / load and haul
• Attention to detail
• Excellent commercial astuteness
• Analytical skills
• Customer relations skills
• Project management

PURPOSE

• The role exists to perform a technical and supervision of a tailings project, ensuring setting out of the site, applying relevant designs and plans, resources management, project progress monitoring, as well as liaising with sub-contractors.
