ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Be a safety leader, in line with the companies values, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Hold the statutory appointment for the underground mine, ensuring compliance to WHS act and regulations.
- Manage a highly capable team of efficient mining engineers, technicians and graduates
- Delivery of mine budgets, reporting and key requirements pertaining to underground operations
- Build capabilities in the team and develop personnel withing the Mining Alliance
- Be an active leader in delivering our Full Potential program, by implementing and over-seeing improvement initiativesIdentify and manage threats to the delivery of budgeted underground physicals
Responsibilities:
The Superintendent/Alternate Underground Manager will play a key role in the development and ongoing success of underground mining operations at the Tropicana site. The ideal individual will utilise their broad range of skills and experience in underground mining to safely deliver key project milestones, production targets and cost targets whilst growing the production profile through the conversion of identified opportunities into firm plans.
