Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW :
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership over a production shift within the plant to ensure that production directives are met safely and on time, within a fast-paced food production environment.
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Provide hands-on leadership over a production shift within the plant to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among team members.
- Hold pre-shift meetings and provide feedback to Team Leaders and Production Manager.
- Be responsible for leading the production team on one or more production lines.
- Ensure that production schedules are met and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate schedules, products and labor of different departments to ensure production runs smoothly in the factory.
- Verify that appropriate methods and procedures are used and that quality, safety and environmental standards are respected.
- Lead, mentor and train other team members as needed
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing company standards and conducting regular inspections.
- Use the SAP system to record all production information and help achieve production goals.
- Assist other supervisors in ensuring that key performance indicators are achieved daily.
- Follow and apply all good manufacturing practices and safety procedures.
- Other responsibilities may be added to better meet business needs.
