QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou industriel ou équivalent
  • 3 à 5 ans d’expérience pertinente dans un rôle similaire dans un environnement de production pharmaceutique
  • Connaissance pratique de la réglementation régissant l’industrie pharmaceutique
  • Expérience en gestion de projet
  • Excellentes compétences en leadership, y compris le développement des personnes, la gestion des conflits et la prise de décision collaborative
  • Compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à mobiliser les gens à tous les niveaux de l’organisation
  • Excellentes compétences en planification et en organisation
  • Compétences en résolution de problèmes et souci du détail
  • Connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

  • Reporting to the Head of Packaging, the incumbent supervises the packaging fitters and technicians, and is primarily responsible for coordinating all the department’s technical activities. He oversees employee training and development, and manages technical projects. As a participative leader, he suggests opportunities for continuous improvement and appropriate cost reduction activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role in a pharmaceutical production environment
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in project management.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including people development, conflict management and collaborative decision-making.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to mobilize people at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise fitters and technicians to ensure the efficiency of production and packaging operations.
  • Ensure technical coordination of product development in compliance with quality, safety and environmental constraints.
  • Guarantee the integration and technical supervision of projects.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to employees to ensure efficient and rapid troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Develop and write procedures to improve productivity, and monitor, control and ensure compliance with these procedures.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan defined with the technical departments.
  • Controls and monitors purchases of parts within a defined budget.
  • Ensures compliance with GMP within the department and on projects (issue of Change Controls, CAPA, participation in investigations).
  • Ensures compliance with HSE policy in his/her department by proposing HSE improvements through the PASS and following up on corrective actions resulting from incident/accident analyses.
  • Provide job-specific training, verify that training records are current and accurate, and ensure that all training requirements comply with GMP and safety regulations.
  • Manage relationships with partners, suppliers, and contractors.
