Description:

SALARY OF UP TO £45,000 (DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE) PER ANNUM BASED ON A FULL TIME - 40 HOURS PER WEEK CONTRACT.

Due to expansion within the business we are looking for an additional Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic, patient and reliable to join our team in Somerset, covering the Southwest Area.

There are many roles and responsibilities of a Supervising Social Worker:

  • Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability of Foster Carers.
  • Support Foster Carers to evidence their competence against training standards.
  • Provide and record regular supervision in line with the agency’s operational standards.
  • Undertake support visits.
  • Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews within required timescales.
  • Ensure that the Foster Carers have an accurate and up to date Foster Care Agreement
  • Identify learning and development needs
  • Undertake initial visits and carer assessments
  • Attend meetings to support Foster Carers, children and young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of training.Out of Hours duty system on a rota basis - £35 per day.

  • CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or BA in Social Work.
  • Experience of working with children and families.
  • A knowledge of legislation’s relevant to children and families.

REQUIREMENTS

  • CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or BA in Social Work (Essential)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car with business insurance (Essential)Relevant Post Qualifying Awards (Desirable)
