DESCRIPTION

Under the administrative supervision of the Area Manager of Laboratory Services, the Assistant Manager, Technical Lab is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations for P-SJHS laboratories in Humboldt County (HC). Clinical responsibilities include supplementing vacant shifts as necessary to support department operations. Provides leadership oversight of area laboratory operations in the absence of the Area Manager of Laboratory Services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California or National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts or National Laboratory Tech - United States Government upon hire
• 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervisory experience.
• Supervisory or managerial experience in an acute care laboratory setting.
