PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Ensures the delivery of high-quality case management services, focusing on trauma-informed care and addressing the social determinants of health for participants. This position supervises caseworkers, oversees workflow processes, and ensures compliance with program policies and standards. The Supervisor supports the mission and values of Catholic Charities, fostering a safe, supportive environment for both staff and participants.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the social case workers/case managers in accordance with Agency values and policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Provide consultation and supervision to the team, addressing challenges and ensuring role clarity and alignment with program goals.
- Oversees the ongoing provision of service delivery, providing consultation and supervision to staff. Supporting staff in addressing social determinants of health for participants, ensuring comprehensive service delivery in accordance with trauma-informed care principles.
- Conduct performance reviews, timely accountability, establish professional development plans, and foster a culture of continuous learning and respect addressing collective areas of capacity building and by supporting the implementation of individual development plans.
- Build positive and effective employee engagement.
- Management experience in social service setting with working knowledge of case management systems and planning techniques.
- Knowledge of the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. Such as knowledge on homelessness, substance abuse/recovery (or impacts of), domestic violence and behavioral health care necessary.
- Ability to work effectively within the framework of Catholic teachings and ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers to input information, maintain client and program data, create and generate reports, and create communications.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
