JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific section or shift within the restaurant, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and managing staff performance. The role involves supervising front-of-house activities, coordinating with kitchen staff, and maintaining standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar role within the F&B industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, during assigned shifts.Assign tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure high service standards.Provide on-the-job training and support to new and existing staff.Conduct briefings before shifts to communicate important information and daily objectives.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and responding to customer feedback.Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.Assist in creating a positive dining experience for customers by ensuring timely and courteous service.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-organized, and properly set up for service.Monitor and manage inventory levels of front-of-house supplies and place orders as needed.Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and presentation.Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety regulations.Address any issues with food quality or service promptly and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff.Mentor and coach team members to improve performance and develop their skills.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling staff and managing labor costs.Prepare and submit reports on daily operations, including sales, inventory, and staff performance.Handle cash and financial transactions accurately and in compliance with company policies.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating special events, promotions, and private functions.Ensure that events are executed smoothly and to the satisfaction of the guests.Communicate effectively with clients and staff to meet event requirements and expectations.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.Implement and follow food safety standards and procedures.Handle any health and safety issues or incidents promptly and effectively.
