EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Three (3) year of post-secondary in related field of equivalent experience and five (5) years in a manufacturing automotive industry with exposure to Materials Management Systems
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of production, as well as familiarity with high volume manufacturing environment is a must
  • Working knowledge of TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards as applicable to the position along with MRP system related experience
  • Knowledge of logistics and transportation would be an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle and coordinate special projects

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the daily work schedules of warehouse and material handling employees involved in performing a combination of: shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing and palletizing finished products and product delivery to and from manufacturing work centers
  • Determine space requirements for storage and schedules delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements
  • Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving and/or surplus stock
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe, clean environment
  • Recommend changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of employees. Responsible for training and development of Warehouse Workers
  • Develop a daily build schedule to ensure 100% daily customer support of OE and Service product
  • Coordinate the movement of supplier returnable containers to ensure adequate supply and timely delivery. Actively participates in the waste management process
