DESCRIPTION

Provides laboratory services to meet the needs of patients in accordance with accepted standards and practices. The Core Laboratory Technical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of multidisciplinary sections of the laboratory. Defined sections of the laboratory include: Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology (includes Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California or California Clinical Chemist Scientist License or California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License or California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License or California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License or California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License or California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License or California Clinical Hematology Scientist License or California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License or California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License or National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology
• 1-2 years’ experience in an Acute Care Hospital environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree
