Description:

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the department operations and management, raise projects and plan resources to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives and reporting via performance indicators
  • Monitor the developments and trend of the industry, analyse the market dynamics, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to improve the core competitiveness of the department’s business activities;
  • Develop departmental work plan, decompose it into work packages for to each work group/unit, and track and monitor progress and ensure completion and delivery;
  • Manage and motivate team members to maintain team efficiency and delivery. Responsible for team performance appraisals, team building and personnel development;
  • Assist upper management in executing core projects to ensure the timely value delivery;
  • Use institutional knowledge to diagnose on-site pain points and work with the production team on implementing and sustaining improvements;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and that any barriers and issues are raised, communicated and removed in a timely fashion;
  • Additional ad hoc duties as related to operational excellence, quality management and stakeholder engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor or above in biology,medicine, chemical engineering or a related field with 7 year or more of experience in a related field; 5 of these years actively management a team of 10 FTE or more.
  • Proven track record in operations and protein production.
  • Served as project manager in process improvement projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility, strong communication skills and able to build rapport with internal stakeholders for collaborative work.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment with good work ethic, excellent analytical, creative problem-solving and emotional intelligence.
