The Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries and ultimately change the world. We design, manufacture, and support a broad range of high-performance microscopy and spectroscopy workflows on wafers and single chips that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. We combine hardware and software expertise in electron and ion microscopy with deep application knowledge in the materials science, life sciences, electronics, and natural resources markets. Our worldwide Electron Microscopy colleagues are dedicated to our customers’ pursuit of discovery and resolution to global challenges.

HOW TO GET THERE (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• University degree in a technical area, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
• Typically requires 7-10 years of experience in high-tech industry environment in service, development or manufacturing
• Typically requires 3-5 years management experience (people and/or projects) in a manufacturing, technical support or service management role in a high tech industry environment
• Affinity to work with ERP systems
• Demonstrated experience with software engineering practices (e.g. Scrum, Agile)
• Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (local language is preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to develop people via mentoring and coaching
• Working knowledge of project management, data analysis and resource planning
• Demonstrated experience with effective managing of issues and high-pressure situations
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data, systematic problem solving and basic experimental methods, test protocols and procedures that include multiple factors
• Demonstrated ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining cooperation of multiple cross-functional departments and sites without damaging relationships
• Experience with systematic problem solving, methods and tools
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse customers in English and preferably also Dutch language.
