Description:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Motivation to work in high-tech international manufacturing environment
  • University degree in a technical field and 3+ years of experience (manufacturing, service, development)
  • 1-2 years of project or people management experience in industry environment
  • Proven experience participating or leading a project
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and resolve issues that involve cooperation of multi-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships.
  • Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally if the need arises
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language
  • Demonstrated experience to lead and develop technical teams including team of individual contributors
  • Negotiating skills in multi-functional multicultural environments
  • Knowledge and experience with systematic problem solving and analytical and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated basic critical thinking and planning
    Demonstrated experience with effective managing of critical issues and fast paced situation

Responsibilities:

  • Manages team of Operations engineers incl. people hiring, budgeting, prioritization and capacity allocation
  • Develops team and self in professional and technical skills
  • Supports local and global Operations team in its strategy and vision.
  • Ensures and encourages close partnership with the other Thermo Fisher sites for efficient cross-site partnership.
  • Develops and cultivates close relationships within Operations Engineering and with Manufacturing, GTS, PLM, Quality and Regulatory, Logistics, Purchasing, R&D and Product Marketing to adequately staff projects and promote collaboration.
  • Ensures activities are carried out acc. to the principle of “Quality ownership in all that we do”
  • Facilitates and may lead multi-functional improvement and other Operations projects from inception to completion
  • Adhere to work safety, fire safety, hygiene of work and other regulatory standards. Clean and maintain work area and consigned tools
  • Ensures sustaining of released products, technical problem solving and quality standards achieving
  • Adopts continuous improvement by using PPI to improve processes and solve problems
  • Ensures that activities are carried out according to the principles of the 4i values
