EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a scientific field, preferably an engineering field.

EXPERIENCE

  • More than 4 years experience in the GMP regulated Biologics/Pharma industry.
  • Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and US/EU regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical writing including Manufacturing Batch Records, Validation Protocols, and Technical Reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

In order to excel you will need:

  • Strong leadership abilities to lead group projects and manage timelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of common bioprocessing techniques including, cell culture, harvest, preparative chromatography, ultrafiltration, and depth filtration. .
  • A proactive approach to identify and drive engineering initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to provide scientific expertise for deviations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the development and training of Process Engineers/Scientists.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate successful collaboration with teams from various departments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and navigate manufacturing areas while wearing protective gowning.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers, facilitating process execution and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with process development to standardize methodologies for unit operations.
  • Review and approve critical manufacturing documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to address challenges on the 24/7 manufacturing floor
