Description:
UPMC MAGEE-WOMENS HOSPITAL IS SEEKING A FULL TIME SUPERVISOR TO SUPPORT THE MEDICAL STAFF OFFICE!
This position will work daylight hours with one work from home day per week. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
This role supervises the Medical Staff office including the oversight of the credentialing and re-credentialing process, maintenance of the credentialing database and physician rosters, and communications with physician offices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises the Medical Staff application and/or renewal processes. Performs application processing, data entry and verification functions according to established policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manage the maintenance of the credentialing database system to ensure accuracy, integrity and completeness of credentialing and demographic information for all physicians and Allied Health Practitioners.
- Maintains and updates rosters and membership information as appropriate. Requests updated physician information from appropriate source to ensure current and accurate database. Generates reports and statistics regarding members and membership.
- Oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of the Hospital’s Allied Health Committee and the Allied Health credentialing process including initial and reappointments. Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Work with Director in overseeing, implementing and processing necessary documents to ensure compliance with OPPE and FPPE requirements for both medical staff and allied health practitioners.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years credentialing/re-credentialing experience required.
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology required.
