White & Case opens more than 13,000 matters every year, or 1 matter per hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Playing a key role in assisting Partners and fee earners to identify potential conflicts of interest during new business intake, you will work at the heart of the Firm’s operations and as a trusted advisor to our lawyers.
Working alongside the Manager, this Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of conflicts and new business workflow, and will therefore be an integral part of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a Conflict’s role at a reasonably sized law firm (required)
  • University or College degree (preferred)
  • Intapp conflicts system knowledge (preferred)
  • AML experience (advantageous)
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity for problem-solving
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating reputational risks, and is proactive
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills, adept at multitasking
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and is team-oriented
  • Fluency in English (required)

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing support to Partners in relation to new business intake. This will include:

  • Reviewing and activating matters for new and existing clients including urgent/more complex requests
  • Running AML checks on new clients and reviewing/approving clients and matter name changes
  • Consistently interacting with the General Counsel’s New Business Acceptance Committee, and Senior Partners as part of the opening process

You will also work to aid with projects/activities such as:

  • System upgrades and testing
  • Participating in interviews and providing feedback to management
  • Conducting functional/technical skills training and mentoring of Analysts
  • Monitor workloads and allocate accordingly
