Description:

We are looking for a Supervisor Operations to join our team. This role will lead daily processing operations associated with color production of multiple product lines within the plant. You will manage production employees, perform some administrative tasks associated with production activities, as well as maintain and improve performance in safety, quality, service, productivity, inventory accuracy, GMP/housekeeping, yields, cost control, process improvement, and HAACP.

What You’ll do:

  • Manage employee performance through development, training, coaching, and corrective action. Lead, monitor and support production teams to achieve daily production plan and goals
  • Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to control them. Enforce safety/GMP and operating procedures and methods.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the Production Planner and team members on shift.
  • Drive plant housekeeping to ensure production facility is maintained audit ready all times. Enforce GMP rules.
  • Assist in creating documents and procedures to achieve operational efficiency standardization. Make improvements to SOPs and other processes to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager to reduce cost of manufacture, increase production volumes and provide operation savings.

What You’ll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum three to five years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong PC skills. Previous JD Edwards experience is preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
