Supervisor, Patient Registration-Clinics

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to lead our Patient Registration team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and developing associates through recruitment, scheduling, assignment of work, and performance evaluations. You will assist with the establishment of performance standards, provide ongoing training, and address any performance issues through coaching or discipline. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient registrations will be a key responsibility, including verifying insurance benefits, calculating self-pay estimates, and ensuring collection of registration deposits. You will also be tasked with reviewing and following up on missing or incomplete billing information to maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
As the Supervisor, you will foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating regularly with your team to keep them informed of changes in services, human resource policies, and any developments that impact their work. You will also oversee the clinic or hospital switchboard function, ensuring prompt and professional handling of phone lines, while training staff in business phone etiquette.
In addition to daily operations, you will work closely with the Manager, Clinic Services to develop and evaluate departmental policies and procedures, implement and manage the department budget.
To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of medical terminology, third-party reimbursement systems, and the healthcare registration process. An associate degree in business or healthcare is preferred. Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, the capacity to work well under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with staff, patients, and the general public in various situations. Proficiency in computer systems and attention to detail are critical to ensure the success of the department.
Hours for the Supervisor are Monday- Friday during clinic hours and Saturdays as needed.
