  • Proven experience in a supervisory position within a manufacturing, mining, or production environment.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build a strong team collaborative culture.
  • Proficient time management and organisational skills.
  • Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency or a higher certification will be highly regarded.
  • Rail Safety Worker certification or experience with rail will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

A unique and exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and driven individual with proven leadership skills to join our inclusive Cockburn Cement team in the position of Supervisor - Quarry & General Services. This role is based at our Munster operation in Western Australia and is a permanent full-time position and a tool or trade vehicle provided.
This dynamic and diverse role will lead the general services team, manage private rail network sidings, product loading activities, compliance and operation of quarries, stockpiles and waste areas and to ensure the efficient receipt of bulk materials to site. The role will lead with primary focuses including an uncompromising approach to health, safety and environment with high regard for product quality control, people leadership and optimisation of operational outputs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to the General Services team through supervision of daily work tasks, toolbox meetings and daily monitoring.
  • Supervise and ensure the compliance and safe operation of quarries, raw material and waste stockpiles/areas.
  • Manage product loading activities and the efficient allocation of bulk material receipts to site.
  • Management of private siding rail network.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work culture through visible leadership.
