The Supervisor, Site Coordination and Operations plays a critical role in the daily management and strategic direction of a recreation facility. This position is accountable for the overall coordination of the facility as well as site operations, ensuring safe, secure, accessible, clean, customer-friendly amenities for citizens. This position is also responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety program, energy management, strategic planning and business plans, environmental initiatives, safety and security plans, financial management; as well as, the operational planning for a new major multi-purpose recreation facility.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge, training and/or education in Recreation Administration, Business, or a related field
- Experience in a leadership, supervisor, or manager role within recreation or facility management
- Experience in staff management, facility operations and planning, aquatic operations, financial management, labour relations, project management and strategic plannin
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for staff development, performance management, payroll administration, labour relations items, training, managing staffing levels, recruitment and hiring, contingency planning and other human resources functions
- Provide leadership and management oversight for the site coordination and operations of the Community Recreation Centre
- Develop and implement strategic plans, business plans, and emergency procedures
- Provide clear direction and vision for facility operations and site coordination
- Prepare and implement 4 year operating budgets and capital profiles for the recreation centre
- Evaluate and review of policies and procedures to provide consistent strategic direction
- Provide technical and professional advice on strategic issues to Department, Branch and section staff to improve the operation of facilities
- Contribute to and provide information related to council reports and inquiries
- Manage budgets, track expenditures, and contribute to capital development plans
- Ensure the safety, security, and accessibility of the facilities for all users
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including schools, community leagues, Edmonton Public Libraries, Commercial Retail Unit operators and other stakeholders
- Lead the operational planning of new Lewis Farms Community Recreation Centre
Qualifications:
