Description:

Overview:
The Slots Supervisor is responsible for creating a memorable experience for our patrons by responding to escalated patron issues on the gaming floor, handling large jackpot payouts, and supervising frontline staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily jackpot and machine malfunctions transactions for accuracy and response time.
  • Responsible for supervising Slot attendants on assigned shift within assigned section.
  • Assists in training, counseling, scheduling and evaluating Slot attendants.
  • Handle employee and customer complaints and disputes.
  • Promotes positive customer service, safety, security and creates a friendly atmosphere.
  • Ensures that Slot attendants work with cashiering personnel, security officers or other Hard Rock Hotel & Casino staff in regards to jackpot payouts, and exchange slips.
  • Monitor currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Safeguard against theft and ensures the security and integrity of all casino property.
  • Report developments that may affect the casino operation to the Slot Shift Manager.
  • Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations.
  • Your strong presence on the gaming floor will be vital to your management of people and interacting with customers while delivering exceptional customer service. You will ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • One or more years of experience in a leadership role
  • Strong managerial skills and familiarity with a high-volume, fast paced, shift-work environment
  • A working knowledge of computer software and the ability to learn new software and systems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
