Sovereign is looking for an energetic, experienced Supervisor for our Underwriting Assistant Pool. The successful candidate will direct and evaluate the day to day activities of the underwriting assistant team while establishing, communicating and monitoring performance outcomes and goals in alignment with Sovereign’s strategic initiatives.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE IMPACT:

  • Overseeing a national team of underwriting assistants that provide administrative & processing services to various Commercial underwriting teams.
  • Partnering with Underwriting teams to support a team-oriented approach to meeting goals and objectives including written premium and profitability objectives nationally, actively seeking ways to improve service and support provided.
  • Maintaining required service standards while following established workflows and procedures including national processes where applicable.
  • Leading process documentation and workflow development and improvements including expansion of Underwriting Assistant services to other underwriting business units as required.
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, recognizing achievements, and managing performance, to develop an agile team and achieve department objectives.
