SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Determine measures to gauge the success of the program, by selecting and piloting an SI program at Lambton College
- Overseeing the recruitment, training and supervision of SI Leaders
- Promoting the SI Program to faculty and students
- Maintaining lines of communication between students, participating course instructors and SI Leaders
- Overseeing administrative and operational activities pertaining to the SI Program
- Provide resources for SI Leaders
- Collect and analyze SI program data (student attendance, SI Leader self-assessment, student surveys, final course grades, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of program services and resources, as well as develop conclusions for program policies
- Promote the Supplemental Instruction program to students, prospective leaders and faculty at assigned campus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Combined experience of 4 years (three years in higher education and minimum of 1 year experience supervising students)
- Familiar with Supplemental Instruction
- Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort working in groups
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing in-person and online academic support programs
