Vestas Global Procurement team is an award-winning best in class Procurement function within a global OEM for sustainable and renewable energy solutions. We are overall responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional commodity teams, negotiations and contract management, development of End-2-End cost out initiatives, commodity strategy development and supplier relationship management.
This Supplier Account Lead will join our Towers Materials team and will be based in Porto, Portugal. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 3-digit million EUR spend per year and this role is part of a global team which consists of employees in Portugal, Denmark, Tianjin and Chennai.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Management, Finance or Engineering. Master degree will be advantageous
- +3 years of experience with strategic purchase
- Proficient in both oral and written English
- Knowledge in SAP, SAP Ariba and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Account Management (SAM) for defined suppliers
- Support defining the Commodity Strategy based on regional analysis and insight
- Continuously provide the commodity team with detailed knowledge about suppliers and supplier market(s) from the geographical area
- Support the commodity team with data collection and data analysis (Market analysis, Supplier identification, Footprint analysis, etc.)
- Participate and supervise negotiations in accordance with the negotiation process
- Ensure selection, qualification, negotiation, contracting and integration of new suppliers to the extend agreed with the Purchasing Manager
- Establish and develop partnership with selected suppliers in order to gain competitive advantage for Vestas
- Developing supply base management and ensure aligned goals with internal stakeholders
