HAVE YOU GOT EXPERIENCE OF PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT WITHIN THE CASTINGS, UTILITIES OR DRAINAGE INDUSTRY?

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer required for a well established manufacturer who are a brand associated with quality. This is a brand new role due to ongoing success, growth and in their industry.
The role would suit applicants who have experience working in the castings, utilities or drainage industry. You must have experience of providing technical support and troubleshooting issues with products or services. Applicants must have a proven track record in a customer facing role. Applicants will be occasionally required to travel to customer sites.
This is a varied role for the successful candidate. The company import a range of manhole covers and castings from overseas for a range of customers from housebuilders to national highways. You will be responsible for quality checking goods inwards when containers arrive, visual checks, measurements and testing of products to ensure they are fit for purpose. You will provide technical support in the field for customers when issues arise and coordinate improvement activities to ensure that a solution is provided and there are no ongoing defects with suppliers. In terms of administration, you will be required to liaise with quality standard agencies independently such as Kitemark and BSI and coordinate all returns process paperwork with suppliers.
