Responsibilities:

AS A SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Partnering with suppliers to complete PFMEA’s to ensure we are preventative rather than reactive.
  • Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.
  • Developing and improving quality processes that will drive down defects and cost of quality.
  • Performing regular audits to ensure supplier continue to work in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions for identified non-conforming materials.
  • Monitor supplier non-conformance performance and internal defects; identify and drive process analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product / process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have prior work experience within a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically welding.
  • Have prior experience dealing with suppliers.
  • Have strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to fluently use six sigma and quality assurance tools such as PFMEA, 5Whys, process mapping and fishbone
  • Be able to travel to multiple supplier sites throughout Europe
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skill
