Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To support supplier sourcing activities by performing pre-selection assessments to ensure quality is a key factor in selecting new suppliers.
• Drive & coach supplier maturity development to deliver effective Zero Defects and Quality Improvement plans.
• Support the businesses with under-performing suppliers to drive high impact quality improvements using appropriate quality tools, and as required, support the resolution of business critical quality escapes into Rolls Royce.
• Conduct & support audits at suppliers and review effectiveness of supplier’s internal audit programmes.
• Lead improvement projects within the Supplier Quality function to continue to improve our capability in all areas of Supplier Quality and develop / deploy global programmes to address systemic quality shortfalls at our suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Engineering degree and experience in a relevant quality or technical field.
• Demonstrated levels of leadership and influence, including experience in the use of effective coaching techniques.
• Competent on relevant International standards, especially SABRe, AESQ and Quality Management standards.
• Knowledge of Zero Defects tools / methodologies and competence in problem solving methods.
• Fluent English skills, further languages or German is a plus but not mandatory.
