Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of quality systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, quality control, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems for tracking supplier performance data.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and methodologies, including ISO standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis techniques and SPC
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes for supplier evaluation and selection.
  • Conduct Supplier Audits and assess compliance with ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations during the procurement process.
  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and lead corrective action initiatives with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain documentation related to quality control processes and supplier management activities.
  • Support training initiatives for suppliers regarding quality standards and best practices.
