Supplier Quality Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred
• High GPA in mathematics, preferred
• 1 year of relative experience ( Internships, projects, direct employment)
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point and Visio
• Willing to obtain ASQ, CQE certification

-Or-

• 1 year experience in the Quality Engineering Field for a manufacturing company (Tier 1 or 2 preferred)
• Formal Problem Solving Training (Red –X, Green Belt, Etc.) a plus
• Working experience in a ISO9001 / TS16949 management system
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point and Visio
• Willing to obtain ASQ, CQE certification

• Improve / develop department quality systems to improve customer satisfaction and profitability
• Improve Control Plans (PQTC), PFMEA and work standards to prevent problems
• Participate in continuous improvement projects such as QCC and Kaizen events
• Facilitate problem solving teams on issues affecting both process and product quality
• Participate in corrective actions, defining countermeasures and perform root cause analysis using problem solving techniques such as: 8D, 5why,5P and fishbone methods
• Direct customer contact in regards to quality issues
• Maintain customer portal in regards to quality issues
• Support new model with Control Plan (PQCT) and PFMEA development
• Facilitate the PPAP (IPPAAR) process for parts with a mass production status
• Support attainment of the companies defined Business Plan
