Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Manager to join our St. Louis Site Operations in Berkeley, MO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • More than 5 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • More than 5 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • More than 3 years of experience working in the aerospace industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience working as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
  • More than 1 year interfacing directly with suppliers
  • 1+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))

Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers’ production and quality systems, special processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
