THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of the global EY organization is to Build a better working world. The insights and services the organization provides help to drive long-term value for clients, people and society and to build trust in the capital markets. An essential function under EY Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services (SCS) is a global team with more than 600 professionals in over 35 countries supporting the EY organization across the globe. This structure helps enable knowledge-sharing across categories and regions, streamlining efforts in seeking innovative suppliers that can provide exceptional client service to maximize SCS’s value for the EY organization and the world’s supply chain.
A key component of SCS is Global Procurement, whose purpose is to drive significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle management, deliver exceptional client experiences and build more vital collaboration to manage Technology, Talent, Alliances and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) spend categories. We forge meaningful supplier relationships and strengthen supplier resilience to help EY maximize long-term value for its people, clients and communities.
As Supplier Relationship Manager managing a large critical technology managed services supplier, you will have the opportunity to be part of the Global Procurement SRM team and execute our strategic SRM framework, building meaningful relationships with EY suppliers and closely collaborating with managed service partners to drive supplier management excellence for the global EY organization. This role will report directly to the Managed & Professional Services SRM Lead.

    To qualify for the role, you must have
    o Business Degree [or relevant preferred degree for role] [or significant relevant working experience in the Managed Services field]
    o Minimum 10 years of industry experience including experience with Managed Services providers
    o People management experience
    o Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally for strategic planning, stakeholder meetings, people management, project coordination and implementation.
    Ideally, you’ll also have
    o Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English
    o Experience with a global, culturally diverse organization
    o Experience working collaboratively, virtually and independently

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, supporting business owners in achieving their goals and objectives reliant on supplier performance of contract obligations.
  • Provide exceptional service to stakeholders while delivering both brand and quantitative value through contract value realization
  • Ensure the successful delivery of tactical SRM services provided by third parties
  • Understand our global supplier footprint, types of contracts signed, and supplier deliverables and obligations as defined in the contracts, demonstrating a strong understanding of the category and building/driving the future roadmap
  • Have a strong understanding of key suppliers, their capabilities and their position in the market
  • Ensure SRM engagement with business stakeholders, procurement specialists and supplier account teams
  • Work with senior stakeholders to help develop a supplier strategy which supports the overall global strategy
  • Help suppliers be successful in delivering their services at EY
  • Drive improvements in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with business partners including Legal (GCO), Global Client Serving Partners, Sector Leaders, etc.
  • Maintain strong and cooperative working relationships with SCS Procurement counterparts.
  • Manage the training, development and performance of team members, helping them develop their leadership, strategic development skills, supplier relationship management expertise and people management skills
  • Ensure consistent use of the SRM framework
