SUPPLIER TECHNICAL & QUALITY MANAGER – JOIN OUR DYNAMIC TEAM!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Manager to lead our supply chain assurance program and ensure the safety, compliance, and quality of our products. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the success of a fast-growing, dynamic company while advancing your career within the Commercial Team at our Central Support Centre in Birmingham.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in food retail, manufacturing, or hospitality in a technical role.
• Experience in poultry and beef sourcing/manufacturing.
• Lead auditor qualification is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food labeling legislation and supplier audit standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Manage the technical function, ensuring all supplier accreditation and approval processes are in place.
• Oversee supplier risk assessment and monitoring programs, ensuring all suppliers meet our standards.
• Ensure all product specifications are current, validated, and compliant, including allergen and nutritional information.
• Manage and resolve product complaints, working closely with suppliers to investigate and analyse issues.
• Oversee regular product evaluations, including organoleptic, analytical, and microbiological assessments.
• Establish strong “technical to technical” relationships with BRG suppliers.
• Serve as the technical lead for all protein sourcing, maintaining a focus on quality.
• Support food development processes, ensuring all new products and suppliers align with our high standards.
• Assist in developing brand food policies on factory standards, formulation, allergen management, sustainability, nutrition, and more.
