This is your opportunity to shape the future of the business by driving key decisions and collaborating with both internal teams and global suppliers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY:
- Own the Purchasing Process: You’ll place purchase orders with global suppliers, ensuring that stock levels are perfectly balanced to meet demand without overstocking. Your negotiations will ensure the company get the best prices, lead times, and payment terms.
- Build Supplier Relationships: You’ll be at the centre of their supplier network, building and maintaining strong relationships with international partners, especially from the Far East. These relationships are key to driving competitive advantages in cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Drive Forecasting Excellence: Analyze sales, stock, and availability data weekly, identifying trends and potential risks. Your insights will enable you to refine demand forecasts, prevent stockouts and overstock, and support company-wide sales and operations planning.
- Manage Logistics and Freight: Coordinate the timely delivery of products, collaborating with forwarders and operations teams to make sure everything arrives on time and under budget. When supply chain issues arise, you’ll propose creative solutions like adjusting shipment schedules or expediting deliveries.
