Animed is seeking to recruit a Supply and Stock Assistant to support the Supply and Stock Manager. The supply team is responsible to ensure Animed always has products available for customers, working closely with our suppliers, CVS Logistics and Animed Customer Services.
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic team player who is eager to learn more about supply and stock management but who doesn’t necessarily come from a supply background. Ideally, we require someone who can quickly learn systems and take responsibility with a can-do attitude, and who offers excellent communications skills as this role is required to work with both internal departments and external supply partners.
Please note: this is a Monday – Friday office based role over 40 hours, however flexibility on hours can be discussed. There is potential longer term for the successful candidate to work from home one day a week.

The core functions of the role are:

• Create and send daily orders to a variety of suppliers using our stock management and purchase order system
• Ensure orders are delivered at the expected times
• Liaise with suppliers regarding stock or delivery issues, taking proactive actions as necessary
• Work closely with our Logistics team to help manage flow of stock into our warehouse and ensure we have available, sellable stock
• Assist the Supply and Stock Manager in managing inventory levels
• Liaise with Customer Services to manage customer expectations on stock issues

Skills and experience

• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
• Quick to learn systems-based processes
• Good general IT skills
• Able to take responsibility and use initiative where necessary
• Numerate
• Ideally a pet owner, past or present, who fully understands our customer’s relationship with their pets and how that relates to product availability
