Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Base Management Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) (Level 3 or 4) to join our Work Movement team in Everett, Washington!
The Supply Base Management Specialist will serve as a project focal for the Enterprise Supplier of Concern (SOC) management System. In the role you will create standard processes, manages tracking system, communicate updates, and publishes metrics to Supply Chain Leadership. Support cross functional SOC process to manage integrated SOC activities with Defense, Services and Commercial.
The ideal candidate will communicate at all levels and make presentations to various audiences. Leads/supports and communicates strategic SOC initiatives to Supply Chain leaders and focal. Manage suppliers and subcontractor’s performance and relationships.
This role will include responsibility for managing delivery and quality performance, as well as work movement, production readiness and qualification activities, for assigned suppliers. It will also require the communication of performance expectations and use of metrics to evaluate, monitor, and improve supplier operational performance for all programs across Puget Sound.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management analysis or materials management analysis
- 3+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
- 3+ years of experience in collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data (e.g., financial, market, customer, competitor, economic and technology analysis)
- 3+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- 3+ years of experience in solving problems and generating alternatives
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed (15-25%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles
- 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
- 3+ years of experience in project leadership/management, supporting, leading, and delegation the project team’s responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Mid-Level - Level 3: Typically, 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior – Level 4: Typically, 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program, and commodity strategies.
- Develops mitigation plans. Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities.
- Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.
- Increase visibility to global Industrial Participation/Strategic Work Placement obligations bridging the gap for obligation fulfillment across the company.
- Support sales campaigns by preparing new suppliers and exploring new partnerships.
- Work in partnership with category management and procurement teams to align new sourcing options that are bid ready.
- Document streamline processes associated with identifying, on-boarding, training, qualification, and developing suppliers.
- Partner with cross-functional internal Boeing stakeholders, including Boeing International, Boeing Research & Technology, Product Development, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, and Business Development to regularly review, streamline, and discuss the development of country opportunities/issues and supply chain requirements.
