Description:

This is a dynamic and diverse role, reporting into the Logistics Manager and based onsite at Waterbeach, Cambridge. Daily duties include:

  • Handling a variety of product types, storing and retrieving samples from temperature regulated locations ranging from 4°C to -196°C.
  • Actively manage inventory and kanban locations throughout the site.
  • Receive inbound shipments to ensure all internal specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Receiving and tracking of all inbound Human tissue Act (HTA) samples.
  • Provide efficient and effective ‘hands on’ daily management of inventory for sale
  • Apply familiar with cycle counts, ABC inventory, and FIFO/FEFO practices to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
  • Managing the placement of purchase orders for stocked item and liaising with suppliers on delivery times.
  • Collecting laboratory waste from labs and safely operating autoclaves to dispose of waste safely
  • Accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensuring completion of duties with minimal errors to support department metrics.
  • Contributing to operational excellence and assisting in the further development of a Lean approach to process flows.
  • Receiving shipments and materials into the building.
