Description:

Rullion is presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the site supply chain team of a well-established rolling stock company at their Golders Green depot in London. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of the logistics team, supporting the maintenance teams for an Underground Rail Fleet by ensuring all necessary provisions are in place.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate express delivery requests to suppliers to ensure timely fulfilment.
  • Occasional trips to Morden depot,
  • Track and follow up on deliveries, securing the availability of goods for company projects.
  • Monitor and analyse supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead or participate in initiatives to improve supplier performance.
  • Provide supply chain insights to support supplier selection processes.
  • Manage the flow of purchase requisitions for both internal and external suppliers, ensuring readiness for material planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy of material planning master data, aligning with stock and logistics requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain material planning documents (e.g., Call-offs, Schedule Agreements) and source lists.
  • Communicate material requirements to suppliers and confirm their commitment to delivery schedules.
  • Assess supplier confirmations against project needs, anticipating risks and impacts on production timelines.
  • Prioritise and implement recovery actions when risks or supply disruptions arise.
  • Proactively manage and resolve MRP exceptions, including potential supply issues like backlogs and shortages.
  • Update and maintain delivery schedules within ERP systems.
  • Track and expedite missing parts to ensure stock availability.
  • Address and resolve receiving issues, such as overstock, shortages, damage, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Share delivery performance KPIs with internal and external stakeholders to promote transparency and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Material Planning Management to address underperforming suppliers and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in supplier assessments, including capacity and light capability evaluations.
  • Support new business risk assessments and contribute to mitigation planning.
  • Adhere to APSYS roadmap standards and best practices.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES PROACTIVE COMMUNICATION, DETAILED SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING, AND A FOCUS ON SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT TO SUPPORT SEAMLESS PROJECT DELIVERY.

  • Administration or Engineering or Supply Chain.
  • Desirable: Supply Chain certification.
