Our workforce development programs have built capacity in diverse areas including entrepreneurship, insurance, information and computer technology, construction, French language acquisition, hospitality, supply chain management, and more. We have delivered unique training programs for a variety of organizations, Indigenous Communities and on behalf of the Ministry of Jobs, Economy & Trade, Ministry of Seniors, Community & Social Services Ministry of Children’s Service and Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Skills portfolio.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our team is growing! Ballad is looking for a dynamic, energetic Facilitator to join our team full-time. The Facilitator’s role is to deliver Ballad’s Fundamentals of Supply Chain Logistics program specifically designed to equip participants with the skills to achieve a successful career in the Supply Chain industry within Calgary. The Supply Chain Facilitator will also monitor participants’ performance to discern potential learning-related challenges within the group. The successful candidate will exhibit confidence and encourage attendee participation.
Your primary duty will be the delivery of CITT’s Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes micro credential courses. Both courses provide credit towards CITT’s CCLP designation. All course content has been created however we encourage the facilitator to provide input to ensure the curriculum is relevant to the ever-changing Supply Chain Industry. Your secondary duty will be the delivery of job preparation and employment readiness workshops to prepare participants for employment.
The facilitator’s duties also involve selecting appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. When problems or issues come up, the Facilitator will work with the Program Team to resolve conflict.

EXPERIENCE

The position requires the following skills, experiences and abilities:

Required

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business and/or Supply Chain Management;
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience;
  • Facilitation experience;
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Strong relationship building and conflict resolution skills;
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

Asset

  • ASCM / APICS / CITT membership;
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)

Salary Range - $65,000 - $75,000

Responsibilities:

Program Implementation/Evaluation

  • Develop/modify workshops and programming to meet the needs of program participants based upon the Supply Chain curriculum and deliverables;
  • Assess individual needs of potential participants;
  • Develop, select and revise course material and curriculum on an ongoing basis;
  • Collaborate with Program Coordinator and Employment Specialist to ensure consistency on participant progress and program outcomes;
  • Develop and maintain professional contacts in the Supply Chain Industry that may provide enriching experiences and/or work placement opportunities;
  • Liaise with various internal & external clients & stakeholders.

Support Work

  • Active service management of participants to ensure success
  • General administration including: participant progress reports, responding to participant inquiries, preparation of materials etc.

    Other duties that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned
