Job Description
The suitable candidate should demonstrate strong communication, a proactive approach, adaptability and an interest to further their career in the supply chain field.
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities-

  • Match supply with demand across the factory.
  • On time delivery to customers and
  • To own all factory materials planning processes including vendor material forecast generation processes.
  • Drive process improvements and take leading role in departmental project and improvement objectives.
  • To work with the global function to define and implement procedures, policies and documentation to support the continuous improvement in the factory production control and materials planning systems functions in the Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • To prepare factory operations and capacity planning proposals as part of the global Sales & Operations planning processes.
  • Ensure MRP system is accurately maintained with relation to dates and schedules for production and purchase orders.
  • To balance demand against capacity (supply) and ensure that relevant actions are taken to ensure that the factory delivers to plan. To interface between the materials supply and operations teams
  • Support development of Smits Detection Malaysia logistics capabilities using both excel and Power BI dashboards
  • Ability to track and monitor scorecard to rate the supplier performance
  • To provide global supply chain reporting and analytical support.
  • Provide monthly KPI’s and report on spend trends related to freight, supplier performance and OTD
  • To define and participate in programs and projects such as Continuous Improvement, Kaizen etc.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations

The Individual

Skills and Experience-

  • Degree in Science/Business/Humanities field Experience: · Less than 2 years professional work experience Knowledge/Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen interest for career in Supply Chain · Demonstrable project experience
