This is an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia and make a difference, we’re seeking a and driven professional to take on the role of Supply Chain Manager. As part of this role, you will oversee the functions of Chain Management (SCM) and play a crucial role in planning, developing, and forecasting demand to effectively meet our business sales objectives.
In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment. By assessing supply risk analysis and commercial risk analysis you will inform and explain planning and forecast decisions that drive optimal results for our organisation.
As a key member of team, you will also coordinate and lead forecasting activities to establish strategic arrangements. Your expertise in supply chain management will enable us to set efficiencies while ensuring consistent availability of products for our customers.
Role and Responsibilities

Demand Planning:

  • Support product managers in forecasting demand and developing demand plans
  • Collaborate with commercial and finance stakeholders to align on future demand plan and targets
  • Share demand forecasts with relevant stakeholders, incorporating feedback as needed
  • Assist lead product managers with reporting requirements related to supply chain forecasting
  • Assist sales/product marketing team in generating weekly AP2 forecasts for assigned product groups
  • Analyse AP2 forecasts entered by product marketing team and provide forward planning recommendations
  • Manage complete SCM process, including generating SCM files, collecting updates from account managers, and conducting appropriate analysis

Inventory Management:

  • Optimise inventory levels based on sales forecasts to prevent stockouts and excess stock situations
  • Determine safety stock levels to mitigate risks associated with demand volatility
  • Monitor aged inventory rate and adjust procurement plans accordingly

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
– Track forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement
– Monitor SCM KPIs
– Implement best practices from industry research into daily operations
Continuous Improvement:
– Analyse demand planning processes for inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
– Utilise available sales data to provide forward sales projections
– Analyse historic data to gain insights into likely sales outcomes
Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 4- 5 years of experience in demand analysis, forecasting, supply chain operations and procurement

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint

  • SAP/ERP experience preferred
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, ability to analyse data and sales trends for accurate forecasting
  • Presents strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • Self-motivated with initiative with strong attention to detail
