Description:
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Ports America is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead tactical value-added services (VAS) projects with beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) and key stakeholders. This role is essential to our Value Creation Plan (VCP), aimed at achieving our revenue and EBITDA targets over the next three years. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain Solutions, you will focus on the end customer and perform key functions including supply chain mapping (current state), identifying customer needs, benchmarking solutions, designing future state solutions, establishing KPIs, and creating standard operating procedures. This position offers a remote opportunity with travel requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or a related area.
- 2+ years’ experience with advanced functionality in Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in international logistics and supply chain, specializing in origin management, ocean freight, distribution, or port drayage.
- Proven track record of driving performance through data intelligence and relationship management.
- Strong ability to bring teams together and achieve success through cross-functional collaboration.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting priorities as needed.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to VAS BCOs, suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders within the supply chain.
- Lead supply chain mapping initiatives to design comprehensive solutions that enhance customer visibility and support the growth of BCOs and their logistics partners.
- Build strong relationships with BCOs by understanding their supply chain needs and aligning them with established VAS solutions, from berth to door and door to berth.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify, quantify, and track commercial projects, collaborating with internal teams such as operations and finance.
- Lead benchmarking initiatives to identify industry-leading commercial capabilities, positioning the port as a gateway for innovative solutions.
Ensure staff and asset locations maintain a customer-centric approach in their operations.
Partner with operations teams to implement short- and long-term VAS initiatives that support the company’s strategic objectives.
Travel to various Ports America locations as required based on project priorities.
- Foster teamwork within the Commercial team and maintain strong, effective communication to ensure high morale and alignment across departments.
- Collaborate with marketing, commercial teams, and asset locations to align enterprise marketing efforts with local business development opportunities and educate customers on new VAS initiatives.
- Partner with operations to enhance productivity and efficiency by aligning operational practices with key VAS initiatives.
