KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Strong blend of Inventory Control, Process Development, Supply Chain Management, and Project Management
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
ERP experience or computer system for inventory control is desirable.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team environment at all levels of employees
Must have hands on approach of leadership
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent computer skills including MS Office
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep an organized process
Able to give direction and follow through completion
Type 50+ WPM

THE DESIRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Inventory Management, or Technical discipline.
3-5 years of cross-functional experience in supply chain management and inventory control
3-5 years prior work experience as a manager effectively leading a team

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations related to all companies inventory. You will be responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of all purchased material, monitoring staff to ensure that all policies and procedures related to material usage are followed; also, monitoring quality levels of supplied material to ensure that it meets internal and external standards. The Supply Chain Manager will work with the Management Team to ensure smooth operational flow and effective use of company resources.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Maintain correct stock levels ensuring all materials are in stock as required and on-time.
Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
Optimizing the cost of materials by implementing strategies that balance cost efficiency, quality, and supplier reliability to drive profitability
Collaborating with operations, scheduling and projects teams to ensure all materials are on hand to deliver on time to our clients
Find cost savings from suppliers to reduce current costs
Provides awareness and training across organization to promote the need for inventory accuracy and process simplification/improvements
Identifies, prioritizes, develops and implements complex cross-functional inventory control processes that include forward thinking on project introduction/development /implementation
Develops and implements inventory control process, improve accuracy and efficiency
Directs purchasing and organizes storage of purchased material
Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for inventory control
Documents and implements control steps as required
Performs audits to ensure compliance to all processes and to measure effectiveness
Works with departmental managers and the Plant Manager to ensure the most efficient internal supply chain is implemented
Ensures that vendor defect issues are addressed promptly to supplier and defective material is replaced with quality product
Controls and improves quality of supplied material and is delivered on time
