Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading XeteX’s sourcing and procurement activities. This role will develop and implement souring strategies to meet the company’s objectives, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the supply of high-quality materials at competitive prices. This person will work closely with a cross-functional team to align sourcing strategies with company goals and continuously improve procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • High energy and self-confidence to address problems quickly and effectively
  • Hands on support of the Purchasing team. Understands their job responsibilities and can lend help when needed.
  • Sets high standards for suppliers and creates processes to proactively address inventory/quality issues prior to production impact
  • Proven experience in supplier evaluation, selection processes, and contract management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a strong understanding of market trends and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is required

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Design and execute sourcing plans that meet company goals for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure reliable source of materials and services.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, securing favorable pricing and service conditions while managing risk.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and market developments to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams in production, quality, and finance to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and gather key input.
  • Supplier Audits and Evaluations: Conduct evaluations and audits to ensure suppliers comply with company standards and deliver consistently high performance.
  • Supplier Selection Process: Oversee the supplier selection process, including issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and making informed recommendations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, identify improvement areas, and drive continuous enhancements in efficiency.
  • Mentorship and Training: Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in sourcing and procurement best practices.
