JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Under general supervision, the Materials Specialist is responsible for receiving, keying and promptly distributing all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all other stocking locations. The Materials Specialist is also responsible for conducting physical inventories of all POU areas according to the defined schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PC skills – demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
  • Basic skills – able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately
  • Working knowledge of hospital supplies
  • Six months of Healthcare Supply Chain Experience is required, one year preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is required
