Description:

The role is responsible for the day to day leadership of the Supply Chain function and for delivery of the Managed Consumables Service under the Operated Healthcare Facility (OHF) Contract between CHoICE and South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust (STSFT). You will lead and modernise the Supply Chain function in CHoICE to deliver a customer focused service through staff development, process improvement and use of technology, ensuring security of supply such that clinical care is never interrupted from lack of consumables or prostheses. Success entails close liaison with clinical colleagues to ensure procurement decisions are clinically led. With a strong emphasis on data to support decision making, you will lead continuous improvement in the way non-pay expenditure is committed by the STSFT Group (i.e., both CHoICE and STSFT) giving the Directorates improved insights into their current spending patterns and future opportunities.
