SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATOR (WAREHOUSE) - NIGHT

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Operator (Warehouse) for our facility, based in Calgary, Alberta. This is a night shift position (9:30pm – 5:30am).
It’s a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their leadership ability and forklift driving expertise in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Under the guidance of the Supply Chain Supervisor, The Supply Chain Operator conducts the daily operations in one of the various positions in the Supply Chain Department. The operator will be able to be trained in the five operator rate positions in the department as skill and ability is gained.
  • Assist with the loading/placement of all products from the rail cars, trucks and/or Joint Treatment Departments.
  • Assist in the implementation of CGC/USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety rules and practices.
  • Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
  • Computer skills needed or data entry.
  • Process will involve quality data or require comments related to the production/loading operation.
  • Read and complete documented inspection procedures.
  • Follow instructions on printed work orders to complete assigned tasks.
  • Computer skills preferred to review or revise documents in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Navigate Microsoft Outlook for work related email.
  • Ability to learn to operate plant equipment.
  • Good communication skills needed with all co-workers.
  • Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within work area.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance, and understands the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.
