We’re looking to enhance our team by welcoming a new Supply Chain Planner to the Supply Chain team, reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager. Effective Supply Chain Planning is a critical part of our success and central to servicing our customer orders in time and in full. Supply Chain Planning entails the following: Supply Planning, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Long Range Production Planning, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, and Master Data Management. Accountable to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the role is seen as a key link to all areas of the organization and is an integral member of the Operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Convert Consensus Demand Forecast into a workable Supply & Master Production Forecast
- Analyze and identify risks built into the Master Production Plan considering lead times and capacity constraints through Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)
- Lead production planning and scheduling meetings.
- Publish weekly (or more) production schedules keeping in mind all relevant constraints (allergen, equipment, manpower etc.) while being compliant to our packaging declarations & certifications.
- Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels while working with Procurement and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when and where needed.
- Issue production work orders and investigate discrepancies and variations from the production plan.
- Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support required customer service levels, inventory turn goals, capacity utilization and staffing requirements.
- Complete ownership of Finished Goods Inventory (Stock coverage policies, analysis of over/under stocks, shelf-life concerns, reduction in write offs etc.)
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure effective warehouse space management and the transfer of goods to and from the 3PL facility as required.
- Assist Demand Planner & Supply Chain Manager in the S&OP process.
- Complete ownership of performance metrics including but not limited to Master Production Schedule changes, Master Production Schedule Attainment & adherence, FG Inventory Value, FG write offs, OOS instances.
- Demonstrate a proficient capability in performing and publishing root cause analyses on key metrics.
- Work together with Finance on maintaining and updating Master Data as and when required.
- Working with the stakeholders to establish and/or validate the data requirements for Item, Customer and Vendor Master Data
- Actively engage in and direct regular data cleansing & Master Hygiene projects
- Other duties as required.
