ABOUT US
The Real Property Division of the Department of Public Works provides a variety of services to all the provincial government Departments, Boards, Agencies, and Commissions.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service to project stakeholders and clients by establishing a preliminary budget, developing product specifications, setting timelines for the delivery of goods, and working with suppliers to ensure the necessary products are provided on-time and on-budget.
- Leading and being the key supporting role in the development of the special provisions for tender documents, managing the tendering process which includes but is not limited to coordinating the related plans and specifications for tender call, and developing schedules for tender through liaison with Procurement.
- Prepare purchase orders, document receipt of goods and approve invoices for payment using the procurement and accounting modules of SAP.
- Organize and/or participate in highly collaborative project meetings to ensure all project tasks and deadlines are met.
- Supervise junior staff and/or provide functional guidance and direction to outside stakeholders and public funded entities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
As the ideal candidate, you will require a post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain. A minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain experience is required, preferably with a well-rounded knowledge of scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions. A professional with several years’ experience in supply chain management including scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions will be considered.
A professional designation/certificate in the supply chain field such as CSCMP, SCMP, NISCL, SMT, P.Log, CCLP or PSPP is considered an asset.
Frequent travel across the province is a requirement of this position; as such, a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle and a clean driving record is required.
