Description:

Job Purpose:
Lead the expansion of RWS overall service offering globally by developing our supply chain and in-house team in linguistic and technical expertise. Recognized as a subject matter expert, applies advanced supply chain and business expertise in addressing complex business needs and problems.
Initial contract of 12 months with possibility of extension.

Knowledge Building – Proactively creates and shares key knowledge content to develop expertise and readiness within Language Delivery and Supply Chain teams. Works cross-functionally and partners with key stakeholders to identify strategic areas of focus, design and deliver solutions to grow knowledge and align practices and tools. Creates and maintains training curricula for specific verticals, clients and functions. Elaborates certification programs for language specialists and vendors. Designs and oversees mentoring programs to foster cross-teams knowledge building and sharing. Develops training materials related to QMS controlled documentation.

  • Operational Excellence – Proactively forecasts internal requirements, working with various groups (e.g., Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Language Delivery, etc.) to best position RWS to deliver on unique and/or challenging resource needs. Performs regular analysis of strategic or escalated account (e.g., processes, systems, risks, best practices) to identify weak areas and determine corrective actions to close existing/potential gaps. Defines talent related initiatives, processes and standards globally to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Monitors and analyzes progress/KPIs across regions/accounts/projects to proactively highlight trends, risks, opportunities and improvements.
  • Delivers Quality, Value, and Results – Develops and implements strategies and tactics to improve processes, methodologies and tools on a global basis. Designs and implements best practices and quality improvement plans aimed at optimizing results and driving client satisfaction. Frequently applies subject matter expertise in addressing quality issues within specific accounts. Develops external supply chains (e.g., vendors, freelancers, and partners) and other stakeholders by providing advice, direction and training.
  • Functional Excellence – Builds functional expertise within the global Supply Chain organization by developing/facilitating developmental programs, providing advice and direction. Enables adoption of new processes, methods, tools through effective influencing and change management techniques. Contributes to the overall Supply Chain organizational strategy. Stays abreast of local and global supply chain trends. Actively promotes RWS as a world class provider of Language Services and Technology.
  • Relationship Building – Collaborates cross-organizationally to develop enhance the supply chain function’s value and outcomes. Instills confidence with senior leadership by applying advanced supply chain expertise in addressing short and long term business needs. Actively leverages external networks and relationships to identify trends that will impact RWS supply chain
