As the Royal Canadian Air Forces’ prime service provider at 5 Wing Goose Bay, Labrador, our team delivers comprehensive air operations, emergency services, logistics and engineering expertise to the Department of National Defence. We work on behalf of DND’s “no fail” mission at Goose Bay: supporting NORAD operations for the projection of air power on the north and northeast coasts of Canada, while supporting military training for the Canadian Armed Forces, Allies and NORAD. 5 Wing Goose Bay provides effective training facilities, adaptable infrastructures, and a unique, austere, and challenging training location. Currently, Serco Canada has over 1,200 employees across four provinces, including a strong and growing Indigenous workforce.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the military customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality and efficient services to DND. EDUCATION /CERTIFICATIONS:
- Post Secondary Education required.
- Completion of specialized training in Serco Supply and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) WMS.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level II security clearance.
- Ability to obtain Designated Official (DO) level for PSPC’s Controlled Goods Program which includes security assessments for both Serco Goose Bay and Serco Canada Inc
- Must be able to attain Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications (air, ground).
- Minimum valid Class 5 NL Driver’s license is required.
- Ability to obtain a Drivers Abstract.
- Ability to operate a Forklift.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, assign and review the work of employees engaged in the following duties; Supply Customer Service, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products, processing purchasing transactions, shipping, receiving and other related duties.
- Review and allocate work priorities, assign personnel, resources and materials to complete job and work orders in a manner consistent with quality, time and cost requirements.
- Ensure staff are properly trained in duties, procedures and policies.
- Ensure all supply documents, requisitions, issues and receipts are actioned in appropriate inventory/finance systems including Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) and all other systems required for supply operations.
- Maintain inventory control, re-ordering stock levels for all items held in Supply. Maintaining safety stock for essential operational items.
- Create and adhere to a stocktaking plan. Coordinate monthly counts of Serco inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all DND Supply regulations, policies, procedures, .and the operation of the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
- Assist customers both Serco and military to meet their supply requirements.
- Assign when scheduled, call outs during off duty hours.
- Ensure all assigned deliverables and other reports are complete, accurate, and on time.
- Act as Supply Manager when required.
- Other related duties relevant to this position may be required.
- Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the operations including occupational health and safety, environmental, drug and alcohol, and quality.
